Erik Nierenberg is a Partner at Invictus Growth Partners. Erik has 20+ years of experience in B2B enterprise software with a variety of operating roles across sales, marketing, product, business development, mergers and acquisitions, strategy, and operations.
Most recently, Erik spent eight years as the CEO of Litmus Software, a leading email optimization and personalization platform. While at Litmus, Erik led the company through significant growth, scale, and profitability, culminating in a recent successful exit to Validity. The company transitioned from a single product sold through a single channel into an enterprise product platform trusted by the world's leading brands as a key part of their marketing strategy.
Earlier in his career, Erik worked in a variety of roles across strategy, Go-To-Market (GTM) and product at Salesforce.com during their high-growth years. Erik led teams at Lynda.com (acq. by Linkedin), as a Consultant with Bain and Company, and was also an early-stage venture capitalist. In addition, Erik was part of the founding team at The Bridgespan Group, a global nonprofit organization.
Erik has advised Founders and CEOs at numerous early and late-stage companies including 6sense, Datafox (acquired by Oracle), Udemy, Identified (acquired by Workday), and Bitly. He currently sits on two Invictus Boards, Channelscaler and Cypher Learning. He holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in Economics from Pomona College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
In his free time, you can find Erik on the soccer field or spending time with his family and their growing list of pets (including some new baby chickens, a Canine Companion trainee dog, two cats, and more).
